Dallas Mid-Century Warehouse Conversion

This 3800 square foot warehouse was converted into a single-family home for its empty nester owners who desired an urban lifestyle change. Located in the stylish Dallas Design District, the former print shop was transformed into a two bedroom/two and half bath home that retains the mid-century warehouse structure and 14′ exposed joist ceilings throughout the interior spaces. The original architecture of the building was the inspiration for the industrial chic design, fixtures, finishes and décor.

Aside from the bedrooms and baths, this stunning residence provides over 3,100 square feet of interior living area featuring a foyer with home office, a great room with commercial chef’s kitchen, and floor to ceiling glass walls. Open plan spaces are flooded with natural daylight by the expansive windows at the front and rear and multiple skylights above.

Unlike most industrial/loft spaces in the Design District, this home includes refreshing, green, outdoor living. A two-car garage lies beside the gated front courtyard that is landscaped with mature trees and shrubbery.  A covered back patio overlooks a private 30‘x 20’ rear yard that once served as a rail spur for train deliveries. The spiral staircase ascends to stellar views of the Dallas skyline to the east and sunsets to the west.  In addition to the home’s private open space, the Trinity River Park and Trinity Strand Hike and Bike Trail are located a block away.
