The project consists of 266 acres in Ontario, California. The unit mix includes 1,037 total dwelling units, 103,000 square feet of commercial space, an elementary school site, and several greenbelts. The planning for Westhaven Master plan consisted of preparing site diagrams for selected parcels; establishing development standards for a variety of possible footprints; preparing a master land use plan; preparing a master circulation plan; designing street sections, typical lots, typical product examples; and site details such as edges, entries, greenbelts and pedestrian connections. The planning was done for a group of clients that are joint venturing on the project, including Centex Homes, JHS Homes, Stratham Properties, and Haagan Company.
