Kevin Newman, CEO and Creative Director of NG+P, directs the firm’s Design Studio and the day-to-day operations for NG+P, Inc. Kevin’s primary focus is on diversifying the firms’ portfolio to include hospitality, mixed-use, mid and high-rise residential, resort and urban redevelopment while reinforcing the firms commitment to creative, sustainable, places of destination.
During his 40 years of comprehensive national and international experience, Kevin has developed and directed innovative design solutions for many high density, mixed use, urban infill and resort oriented communities, as well as the patented “New Block” urban-infill design solution. His in-depth understanding of the varying vernaculars is consistently represented in his work. Kevin’s keen insight to his client’s needs coupled with his succinct knowledge of history, vision and architectural vocabulary that fit the context of the site he’s designing is unmatched. By creating such distinctive places of destination, Kevin has garnered a reputation as one of today’s leading designers.
John Garrison, a 25-year member of the NG+P team, serves as Partner and President of Design Development for NG+P, Inc. and works closely with the design studio to ensure quality control and code compliance. He is a licensed architect in 10 states and is a member of the AIA for over 20 years. His experience includes over 38 years of award-winning projects ranging from high-density multi-family and mixed-use residential to luxury single family projects throughout he United States.
John’s knowledge of building codes, materials and methods of construction and building industry standards has been refined by many years of interpretation through his hands-on involvement with clients, contractors and building officials. John is the lead architect for building code compliance and quality control on all projects within the office and he oversees the day to day operations and schedule of the staff.
Lori Michelle brings a unique and creative approach to design in today’s diverse and sophisticated marketplace. Lori hails from Los Angeles and has worked with some of the entertainment industries most notable figures. Lori brings a multi-layered approach, utilizing influences in fashion, art and travel which has garnered her a reputation as one of LA’s most sought after interior designers.
Her approach to re-imagining the visual landscape provides a unique insight into today’s design scene. Her enthusiasm and love of people, architecture and interior design creates a natural foundation that is the catalyst for some of her signature styles that seamlessly bring together people, style and easy living in her designs.
As the principal of Max Michelle Interiors, Lori has the ability to oversee the entire process from conceptual design to installation. Her strong business background, management and organizational skills is a great asset in a business that is so intrinsic in detail and follow through.
Sonya is a creative and driven design team leader focused on delivering bottom line results to clients through bespoke interior design services. She specializes in guiding her creative team through all aspects of a project to develop interior spaces that are sophisticated, thoughtful, and profitable. She believes that clients are best served by having an interior design team that is capable of delivering a guest experience that goes beyond the expected – creating results that are both exciting and inspiring. With over 17 years of industry experience, Sonya’s projects span from boutique hotels to full service properties to luxury multi-family residences.
Before joining Max Michelle Interiors, Sonya was the co-founder of MLH Design Group – a successful hospitality interior design firm focused on hotel guestrooms and public spaces. In addition, Sonya has worked for WATG as a designer. During that time, she was a designer on several four and five star projects including Four Seasons Westlake Village, Westlake Village, CA; Puertas Al Cielo Luxury Resort, Los Cabos, Mexico.
Recent projects include Marriott Delta Hotel, Philadelphia, PA; Ocean Club Luxury Apartments, Redondo Beach, CA; Hilton Sedona Resort & Spa, Sedona, AZ; LEGOLAND Resort, Carlsbad and others.
In her spare time, Sonya is the Scholarship Director for, and serves on the board of, the Network of Executive Women in Hospitality’s Orange County Regional Chapter where she shares her industry experience with students, promotes industry education, and oversees the scholarship awards.
